| Carlos Javier García Orellana Ph.D. in Electronic Physics. Associate Professor. CAPI Group Coordinator. | He received the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the University of Extremadura, in 1994 and 1998 respectively. Assistant Professor of Electronics department at UEX since 1996, Associate Professor since 2003. He was with CERN in Geneva for six months in 2006. His research interests include soft computing, parallel and grid computing and computer vision. Now, he is working in Desktop Grid Computing applied to neural networks classifiers optimization with Genetic Algorithms and breast cancer early diagnosis from mammographic images using Independent Component Analysis and Neural Networks classifiers. |
